Studying the correlation between structure and function in brain networks has long been a central and compelling topic in neuroscience. The FlyWire project achieved a major milestone by completing a fully digitized brain map of Drosophila melanogaster \cite{Dorkenwald2024}. In this study, we analyzed a total of 125,330 three-dimensional neuron skeletons from intrinsic, afferent, and efferent types belonging to different functional superclasses and classes. This study focuses on comparing different morphological and topological properties of axons and dendrites, such as cable length, fractal dimension, number of nodes, maximum width, and tree height. Our results show that axons tend to have simpler structures than dendrites, however, in some functional classes (typically some afferent and efferent ones), the situation appears to be reversed. Examining the correlation between fractal dimension and other properties reveals that neurons from the same superclasses or classes form clusters in state space, indicating similar morphological characteristics. As the hierarchy descends, some of these clusters become denser and more clearly separated. These results suggest that the brain specializes in fractal dimension and other topological properties for different functional cell types.
